CommPartners EventCenter Unveiled at ASAE Boston

On Saturday, August 19, we officially launched a powerful Web conferencing suite of tools called CommPartners EventCenter.

CommPartners EventCenter replaces our Events Online application for virtual meetings management. (We also still offer related online meeting technologies, including Netspoke, WebEx, Macromedia Breeze and Microsoft LiveMeeting.)

All users of our initial EventCenter and Events Online applications will be converted to this latest version at no charge. Components include:

  • Secure registration site and payment processing
  • Meeting room console
  • Event tracking and reporting
  • Continued education certificate generation
  • Online, streamed archives

What makes CommPartners EventCenter truly unique is the opportunity to custom-brand all aspects of an online event or series of Webinars.

Explains co-founder Rich Finstein:

"The CommPartners EventCenter application is really ahead of the curve; we're the only company offering clients the ability to place their organization's logo and custom designs on every aspect of their Web meetings. Instead of advertising the meeting software, they can reinforce their own brand, from event registration, to the live session and then on the post-event media site, too."

While CommPartners EventCenter premiered at the ASAE annual meeting, the technology behind the application has been around for a while. According to Lance Simon, CommPartners' head of sales and e-learning:

 "For several years now we've been continually developing and improving our Web meetings application, but it's evolved so much in the past six months to mesh with our clients' needs that we decided to rename it to reflect the full scope of what we're offering.

Now, we have this incredibly robust dashboard of tools that work together to let clients offer so much more to their members and customers. No one else is doing this-of course, now they probably will!"

Meeting room new features overview

  • Advanced chat can be set to make leader responses to questions viewable only to the sender, or to all attendees. Leaders can also send messages to other leaders or to all attendees. Post-event, the entire chat (including unanswered questions) is downloadable.
  • Private event room branding promotes your organization throughout the session (vs. the application company's name). We'll custom design a background with your logo and distinct brand-which you can change for each event, series or e-learning community. And, we can create a custom url for users to access your online meeting room.

  • Improved user navigation for leaders and attendees. 

  • Email address can be required on login for each meeting. (Emails are also displayed in all reports.) This function offers tighter security for online events and a great data gathering opportunity.

  • Usage statistics are available for each account through the administrator login.

  • Online help is now available, using a newly created live session troubleshooting page with answers to frequently asked questions. A live text support chat is available as well.

  • Display options include two screen sizes (640 x 480 and 800 x 600) for slides, which the presenter may control, and the ability to show real-time e-polling text in two font size choices. 

  • Poll graphs and totals can be turned on or off, to allow/not allow attendees to view results.

  • Display attendee list capability has been moved to the Options tab.
