2008: A Move to Anytime-learning
Recently, we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of organizations incorporating anytime-learning (Webcasts, podcasts, re-purposed Webinars) into their educational offerings. There is a strong movement toward providing content to our communities; a trend that takes into account when and how users can and prefer to participate.
Anytime, or asynchronous, elearning broadens the reach of the most dynamic educational opportunities, which are no longer limited to single events, but instead extend to a larger percentage of those who may be interested.
In the article "Association Education: eContent Libraries" we include a description of some of these opportunities. The overarching technology forecast for 2008? A real emergence of interactive online content that is available 24 x 7.
